Welcome to my portfolio of projects, papers, and more from my time spent in the MALET program. I began my journey in the MALET program in January 2017 with an interest in information and human-centric design. I was intrigued by the MALET program due to my interest in adopting emerging technologies such as social robotics into learning environments. Through my ventures within the coursework, my interest piqued with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, as I uncovered the vast potential both of these emerging technologies offered for education and training. My final projects both revolve around these two methodologies.
Outside of VR and AR, I’ve also had the opportunity to design e-courses using software such as Articulate that incorporate important aspects of instructional design and accessibility standards. In addition, I’ve spent time researching ethical issues in a digital landscape, to uncovered incredulous actions of psychoanalyzing, etc. in digital environments such as social media (pre-Cambridge Analytical scandal). I also ventured into the world of serious games, digital games for education and enjoyed pushing myself to think differently about the element of “fun” to implore people to learn and enjoy it.
I hope you enjoy looking through my work within the MALET program as I come into my final semester this spring.
